What it does

Research tools without the clutter

Porous 3D turns structures generated by ToposPro into editable models ready for further research or fabrication.

Simple workflow

Open .T3G structures, inspect them in 3D and export the result without a complicated setup.

Exclusive database

Start with more than 100 curated porous surfaces available in the project database.

Original algorithms

Translate, smooth and solidify surfaces before exporting a printable STL model.

Product guide

From source file to printable model

The demo supports visualization, translation, smoothing, thickening and export of TPS models.

01

Opening a file

  1. Press Open file and select a .T3G file.
  2. Use Duplicate to duplicate the selected surface or Delete to remove it.
  3. Press Show properties to open surface properties and Hide properties to hide them.
  4. To remove every imported surface at once, press Close all.
02

Translation

  1. Select the surface you want to move.
  2. Press Translate and enter the required translation parameters.
  3. Review the transformed model in the viewport.
  4. Press Apply to apply the translation or Cancel to discard it.
03

Smoothing

  1. Select the surface that needs smoothing.
  2. Press Smooth and choose the smoothing parameters.
  3. Check the preview to make sure important surface details are preserved.
  4. Press Apply to keep the result or Cancel to return to the previous model.
04

Adding thickness

  1. Select the surface that should become a solid model.
  2. Press Add thickness and specify the thickness value.
  3. Inspect the generated geometry in the viewport.
  4. Press Apply to apply thickness or Cancel to abort.
05

Saving the STL

  1. Select the finished surface.
  2. Press Save STL to open the export dialog.
  3. Choose ASCII or binary STL format and specify the destination.
